Inn by the Sea is Recognized with 2025 GIFTTS Pineapple Award for Sustainability at Preferred Hotels and Resorts Global Conference in Singapore

 

Cape Elizabeth, Maine. May 16, 2025- Maine’s Inn by the Sea is the winner of Preferred Hotels and Resorts GIFTTS Pineapple Award 2025 for the hotel’s commitment to Sustainability announced Nick Shumate, General Manager at the Inn. As a central event of the 2025 Preferred Global Conference, the GIFTTS Pineapple award ceremony took place during the Preferred 2025 Global Conference in Singapore at Gardens by the Bay, and celebrated hotels with an outstanding commitment to philanthropy, sustainability, and social responsibility. Sara Masterson, President of Olympia Hospitality, accepted the award on behalf of Inn by the Sea.

 

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the largest independent hotel brand in the world, recognizes member hotels annually, that work with their communities around philanthropy, sustainability, and social responsibility as part of their GIFTTS program. GIFFTS stands for Great Initiatives for Today's (Tomorrow's) Society. This year Preferred received 100 property submissions across the categories.
