Sea Glass at Inn by the Sea Achieves 2022 Wine Spectator Award

Cape Elizabeth, Maine. (June 31, 2022) — Sea Glass restaurant at Maine’s Inn by the Sea has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2022 Restaurant Awards. In achieving the Award of Excellence, Sea Glass has again demonstrated a deep cellar with extensive selections across many regions.
According to Wine Spectator, The Award of Excellence 2022 was given to restaurants that offer thoughtfully chosen lists, containing both quality and diverse selections that are compatible with the menu’s style and pricing.
“We are thrilled to have once again achieved the Wine Spectator award, which highlights our commitment to offering perfect pairings for Chef Andrew Chadwick’s fresh, creative regional cuisine,” said Michael Briggs, the Inn’s Managing Director. “With over 300 labels and 2500 bottles we are a destination for diners who wish to explore new tastes in wine. This year we are offering several wine dinners paired with California’s Duckhorn Portfolio wines, and Sommelier Donald Linscott will be on property to offer Wine Education to guests in the summer months.
Explaining why the awards matter so much to restaurants, sommelier Jason Ferris said, “When guests see that Wine Spectator plaque, or that logo on your menu, it gives them confidence that your wine program stands out among its peers.”
