Welcome to Fall at Inn by the Sea
Dear Friends and Guests of Inn by the Sea,
As summer gives way to vibrant autumn foliage, coastal Maine invites you to slow down and savor the season. Whether enjoying morning seaside yoga, shoreline strolls, a spa massage, or evening wine by the campfire, fall brings a unique peace to the coast.
Special seasonal offerings begin with Maine Lobster Week from September 19th–26th. On October 1st, leashed dogs are welcomed back on Crescent Beach, and in early October, our outdoor deck transitions to warming fire tables featuring handcrafted cocktails and small plates.
Our pool closes to humans on October 13th and reopens exclusively for guest dogs during our annual Pool Pawty from October 14th–19th.
Chef Jim Stein’s fresh fall menu debuts in Sea Glass in late September, followed by the return of our popular Sunday Brunch on October 25th and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on November 26th.
We are deeply grateful to our team and loyal guests for another award-winning year. Inn by the Sea was recently recognized in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best, Condé Nast Traveler’s Top Ten New England Resorts, USA Today’s 10Best Dog-Friendly & Eco-friendly Hotels, Gulf of Maine Research Institute’s Climate Award, with Sea Glass earning Wine Spectator’s 2026 Best of Award of Excellence.
We hope you will join us this fall to experience the quieter side of coastal Maine-when pace slows, the colors deepen and there is more time to simply enjoy being by the sea. For reservations, please call 207.799.3134.
Warmly,
Nick Shumate
