Welcome to Inn by the Sea
Dear Friends of Inn by the Sea:
Warm greetings from the beach! The pool is open, tulips are transitioning to summer blooms and guests are enjoying warm days and long spring evenings on the coast. We are looking forward to another great Maine summer and are excited to share news and programming additions made over the winter.
While with us, we hope you will be able to step back from your busy life to stroll along the boardwalk, relax on the beach, take a dip in the pool, or simply stop to take in the calming views. While we do have some exciting changes, many of the programs’ guests return for year after year remain the same. The popular nightly campfire with smores, morning yoga on the seaside lawn, new TREK bicycles to cruise the coast, full-day cabana rentals, garden tours, beach walks, ice cream socials and children’s programming will all return for the summer season. New for Inn guests this summer will be a weekly overview of Maine’s renowned Lobster industry with Captain Ben Gordon, and the Center for Wildlife will connect visitors to Maine’s majestic birds of prey, explaining their role in our eco system and why they need to be protected.
Executive Chef David Brown continues to elevate captivating cuisine inside our signature restaurant Sea Glass, outside on the seaside deck, boulevard, or poolside with his fresh, regionally sourced menus. Whether farm to fork, trawl to table, vegan or vegetarian options, Sea Glass menus pair perfectly with our deep wine cellar of 2500 bottles and 350 labels awarded Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2022. And new this season, Shayne Conlon, Director of Food & Beverage will lead a weekly Libation Education for an entertaining dose of summer spirits and wines pairings.
Our enthusiastic team are constantly inspired to create fresh experiences for our visitors. This summer the culinary team invites you to enjoy a new casual Sea Glass-inspired spin off, al fresco dining experience at Crescent Beach Kitchen (CBK) featuring a variety of coastal favorites and summer staples of Maine. CBK will provide service to our main pool area, along the boulevard Adirondack chairs, and for to-go beach orders. Additionally, Chef Brown will once again cook up quintessential Maine Lobster Bakes with all the sides, served Wednesday evenings on the event lawn during select July and August dates.
It is with great pride I share the news of some of the awards and positive guest feedback our resort continues to receive including becoming members of https://staybeyondgreen.com/ , a curated group of hotels in 18 countries that are described as the most sustainable on the Planet. We were thrilled to make the 2023 US World and News ‘Best Hotels and Best Resorts’ lists, as well as receiving Preferred Hotels and Resorts ‘Best Practices and Achievement Award’. We are always grateful to you, our wonderful guests, for sharing your Inn by the Sea experience, and we would be privileged to have your vote once again in Condé Nast Readers’ Choice 2023 Awards in the resort category at https://www.cntraveler.com/story/vote-readers-choice-awards.
We look forward to welcoming new travelers as well as returning guests back to the Inn and Crescent Beach this summer.
Safe travels to Maine!
