Cool off in our in-ground pool, open seasonally, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean or enjoy a frozen treat from Karli & Kayden's. Summer "adult only" swims in the morning allow the big kids to exercise or simply relax in our sparkling pool.

Other summer activities for hotel guests include Adult Yoga and Family Yoga on the front lawn, Garden Tours with Head Gardener, Derrick, SPA Mix-Ups, Children's Art, s'mores by the fire pit - and so much more.


Explore Cape Elizabeth

Explore the beauty of Cape Elizabeth via complimentary cruising bicycles available daily from late spring to early fall for guests of Inn by the Sea. Ride to nearby lighthouses or the Lobster Shack.

On property, we offer a variety of ways to experience Cape Elizabeth with weekly Beach Ecology Walks, Garden Tours, Great Pond Walks - and for the littlest explorers, weekly Bug's Life Tours complete with arts and crafts.

Cardio & Fitness Center

As we look forward to re-opening our Fitness Center for guest use, please be aware of the following changes to our policies to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and associates:

  • Please, no more than 4 people in the Fitness Center at a time
  • One hour blocks per guest only
  • Please sign in at the front desk
  • Please clean machines and equipment before and after each use
  • Fitness Center will be open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Complete your daily workout at the fitness center at SPA, offering guests the latest in cardio, flexibility, and strength training equipment.

The fitness center is outfitted with three treadmills, two elliptical, recumbent and upright stationary bikes - all with personal TV monitors. A universal machine and a wide range of free weights combined with an open space studio round out the work out space.

For guests who prefer cardio ball, aerobics, plyometrics, or dance, dial up your own work out on our flat screen with Fitness on Demand. Choose from kickball, yoga, stability ball workouts or swing clinics with weights, or perhaps a Bollywood dance routine to stay in shape!
