Warm breezes are making their way up from the beach with the promise of another great summer season in Maine. On behalf of the entire staff, we offer a heartfelt welcome to each of you and can’t wait to reconnect with friends, old and new.
Summer is a time of renewal as well as a time to unwind with friends and family. While we do have exciting changes to share, we know that many of the reasons guests return to the Inn year after year will never vary- the long stretch of soft sand, gentle sea breezes and calming ocean views. Morning yoga on the lawn, the popular ice cream bicycle, garden tours, guided beach walks, complimentary bikes, and evenings by the campfire with s’mores will all return for the season with the addition of new programs for children and adults. It is with great pride that we share the news that the Inn by the Sea accepted the 2024 I Prefer Hotel of the Year Award for the Inn at the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Global Conference in Lisbon. Executive Chef David Brown will once again create captivating cuisine for all to enjoy inside Sea Glass, al fresco on the Sea Glass deck or at the casual outdoor CBK (Crescent Beach Kitchen) with daily offerings of coastal favorites and summer flavors. We are pleased to announce that Sea Glass received the second-tier award from Wine Spectator, ‘Best of’ Award of Excellence, for the Inn’s deep wine cellar with hundreds of varietals to pair with Sea Glass’s fresh seasonal menus. Be sure to reserve early for our Food and Beverage Director Shayne Conlon’s weekly tips on Upgrading Your Bar, or the Chef’s quintessential New England Clam Bakes, with all the sides, served on the event lawn Wednesday evenings in July and August.
Our team is constantly working to create fresh spaces and experiences for our guests. Over the winter we worked to enhance the main Inn with the installation of new wallcoverings throughout the lobby, hallways, and meeting spaces. Additionally, the SPA has undergone a renewal with fresh carpeting, wallcoverings, and new paint to ensure a relaxing environment. The Inn is also excited to share a few visual plans for the reimagination of the main inn guestrooms. The attached boards and designs showcase the updated look and feel we expect for our accommodations in 2025-2026.
