Fall has arrived on the coast with sunny days, crisp air, and brilliant foliage with the crunch of leaves underfoot soon to follow. With children back in school, the “quiet season” is a wonderful time to explore. Ambling through the woods on Great Pond Trail or walking on Crescent Beach, apple picking at nearby farms or enjoying hot cider and cozy evening fires, all make autumn a splendid time to visit Maine. After reconnecting with nature, treat yourself to Chef Chadwick’s captivating cuisine and fall menu in Sea Glass- but be sure to leave time to pamper yourself in SPA.


Fall activities at the Inn include the popular nightly campfire with smores, daily yoga on the lawn, complimentary bicycles to cruise the coast, garden tours, and guided beach walks will take place through Indigenous People’s Day. The popular dog pool “paw-ty,” where the pool opens to guest dogs (and closes for the season to people) will be October 11th through 16th this year. The beach opens to dogs for walks again on October 1, so be sure to reserve a fall getaway for you and your pup.


We hope you will join us for craft cocktails in the lounge or savor Chef Chadwick’s handcrafted fall menus in Sea Glass, thoughtfully curated for every appetite. The outdoor Sea Glass deck will transition from our full menu service on Friday, September 30th into service for the fire tables with comfortable sofas featuring small plates and cocktails.

I am very proud to share news of some of the awards our resort and dedicated employees continue to receive, including winning the Preferred Hotels Best Practices and Achievement Award within the L.V.X. Collection. With results taken from guest feedback, this award is a direct reflection of our hospitality team’s service execution in creating authentic Maine experiences. The Inn was also selected for USA Today’s 10Best Eco-Friendly Resorts, and Travel + Leisure’s coveted 2022 T+L500 list of the World’s Top 500 Hotels. We are grateful to our wonderful guests for their support of our staff by casting votes for the Inn. 


We are thrilled to announce that Sea Glass Executive Chef, Andrew Chadwick will be honored as Chef of the Year by Hospitality Maine at their annual meeting in November, a huge and well-deserved industry honor.  Sea Glass restaurant’s deep wine cellar of over 2500 bottles and 350 labels to pair with Chef Chadwick’s menus, has again achieved Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.

We are proud to have been awarded AAA's "Best of" Housekeeping in for the past three years (2020, 2021, and 2022) and remain committed to outstanding housekeeping services and standards met through our brand requirements at Preferred Resorts, along with AAA. 

The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces. In addition, the frequency of air filter replacement and HVAC system cleaning has been increased and fresh air exchange will be maximized.
